†Dasornis is an extinct genus of pelagornithid (bony-toothed) bird from the Eocene. These enormous seabirds possessed pseudo-teeth — bony projections along the beak used to grip slippery fish. With wingspans potentially exceeding 5 m, Dasornis ranks among the largest flying birds ever to have existed.

Dasornis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
