<dinofyi-dinosaur slug="dasornis-emuinus"></dinofyi-dinosaur>†Dasornis emuinus is an extinct pelagornithid seabird, one of the earliest described members of the bony-toothed bird family. Originally named from London Clay Eocene material, this giant oceanic carnivore used serrated pseudo-teeth to capture fish. Its fossils are among the first giant extinct birds documented by European paleontologists.
Diet & Feeding
Dasornis emuinus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
