Pachyptila turtur is the Fairy Prion, a small petrel of the Southern Ocean nesting on islands from the Falklands to New Zealand. It feeds by hydroplaning—skimming the ocean surface with its bill submerged to filter zooplankton using its lamellate bill plates.
Diet & Feeding
Mesetaornis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
