† Segisaurus is an Early Jurassic coelophysoid theropod from Utah, USA. This small, slender carnivore belongs to the Coelophysidae family and occupied predatory niches in the hot, semi-arid environments of early Mesozoic North America.

Segisaurus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
