The undisputed king of the dinosaurs, Tyrannosaurus rex was one of the largest land predators ever. With a bite force exceeding 12,800 pounds, it could crush bone. Its tiny two-fingered arms remain one of paleontology's great puzzles. T. rex lived in western North America during the last 2 million years before the K-Pg extinction.
