Anas itchtucknee é um pato extinto do Plioceno (~3 Ma) da Flórida, EUA. Nomeado a partir dos depósitos do Rio Itchtucknee, era um pato mergulhador de água doce dos antigos pântanos da Flórida. Sua descoberta documenta a fauna de aves aquáticas do Plioceno primitivo da Flórida durante um período em que os níveis do mar eram mais altos e os lagos interiores do estado eram mais extensos e diversos.
Diet & Feeding
Anas itchtucknee was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
