†Aquila sodalis was an extinct eagle from Pleistocene North America. A large aerial predator related to modern true eagles, it inhabited open woodlands and grasslands, hunting medium-sized mammals and birds. Its fossils, found in Late Pleistocene cave and fissure deposits, document the diversity of raptors that coexisted with Pleistocene megafauna in North America.

Aquila sodalis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
