† Fregetta — a genus of storm petrels (Hydrobatidae) from subtropical and subantarctic seas. Small piscivorous seabirds known for pattering across wave surfaces while foraging. Includes both extant and extinct species. Fossil records supplement modern biogeographic range of these ocean-going birds.
Diet & Feeding
Fregetta was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
