Megapaloelodus opsigonus was an extinct flamingo from the Miocene-Pliocene of North America. One of several North American Cenozoic flamingo species, it inhabited shallow saline and freshwater lakes, filtering algae and crustaceans with its specialized bent bill.
Diet & Feeding
Larus lacus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
