Stenornis kanmonensis is an extinct alcid (auk family) from Miocene deposits of Japan, related to modern murres and guillemots. Its fossils document the diversification of the alcid lineage in the northwest Pacific during the Miocene.
Diet & Feeding
Stenornis kanmonensis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
