Teratornis is an extinct giant teratorn bird from North America, with remains known from Pleistocene tar pit deposits. Members of the family Teratornithidae were enormous condor-like soaring scavengers with wingspans exceeding three meters.

Carnivore

Teratornis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
