Iguanodon galvensis

Recovered from the Early Cretaceous rocks of Galve in eastern Spain, Iguanodon galvensis is an ornithopod - one of the beaked, plant-eating dinosaurs. It is a species of the long-studied genus Iguanodon. A herbivore of Early Cretaceous Europe, it browsed low vegetation, and its Spanish provenance broadens the record of ornithopod diversity across the continent.
