Nettion velox is an extinct Miocene teal from Hungary. This small dabbling duck from the Pannonian Basin documents Neogene anatid diversity in central European freshwater habitats during the Miocene warm period.
Diet & Feeding
Nettion velox was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
