†Anhima cornuta (Horned Screamer) is an extant anseriform bird native to tropical South America, including Venezuela. A large herbivorous waterfowl reaching 90cm, it bears a distinctive forehead horn and bony wing spurs. Though not extinct, subfossil specimens contribute to understanding avian biogeography in Neotropical wetland ecosystems.
