Caririchnium liucixini

† Caririchnium liucixini is a large ornithopod ichnogenus from the Early Cretaceous of China. The three-toed, broad footprints record the passage of sizeable iguanodontian dinosaurs across Cretaceous substrates of East Asia. Named in honor of Chinese researcher Liu Cixin, these tracks contribute to a growing body of ichnological evidence for the diversity and distribution of large herbivorous dinosaurs across Early Cretaceous Asia, a region that served as a major cradle of dinosaurian evolution.
