Ornithopsis

† Ornithopsis is an Early Cretaceous sauropod of uncertain affinities from England, originally described by Harry Seeley. Known from vertebrae, it may represent a brachiosaurid or titanosauriform from the Wealden Formation.

Ornithopsis was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
