Anserpica kiliani

Anserpica kiliani

†Anserpica kiliani was an extinct anseriform bird from Oligocene or Miocene France. A primitive duck or goose-like waterfowl herbivore, it inhabited freshwater and brackish environments. Its fossils from French Paleogene or Neogene deposits contribute to tracing the early diversification of Anseriformes in western Europe following the Eocene avian radiations.
