Athene superciliaris, the white-browed owl, is an endemic strigiform from Madagascar. This medium-sized carnivorous owl with distinctive pale superciliary stripes inhabits humid and dry deciduous forests, hunting geckos, chameleons, and small mammals. It is a nocturnal predator important to Madagascar's unique Malagasy forest ecosystem.
Diet & Feeding
Athene superciliaris was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
