An extinct species of upland goose from Argentina, Chloephaga robusta is related to modern sheldgeese of the genus Chloephaga inhabiting Patagonia and the Falkland Islands. A herbivore, it was likely larger and more robust than its living relatives, grazing on grasses and sedges across the South American pampas.
