† Palaeortyx joleaudi was an extinct small galliform (Phasianidae) from the Miocene of Spain. A ground-dwelling bird of uncertain diet, it inhabited Iberian woodland and scrub habitats. Fossils contribute to the record of late Neogene phasianid diversification in Europe.
