Selenornithinae is an extinct avian subfamily, with fossil material known from Egypt. Members of this group were likely small to medium-sized birds whose taxonomic placement within Aves and ecological role during the Paleogene remain subjects of ongoing research.
Diet & Feeding
Selenornithinae was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
