† Thescelosaurus is a Late Cretaceous ornithopod from North America, one of the last non-avian dinosaurs to exist before the end-Cretaceous mass extinction. A specimen nicknamed 'Willo' was controversially claimed to preserve a fossilized heart.
Diet & Feeding
Thescelosaurus was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
