Vini sinotoi is an extinct lorikeet from the Marquesas Islands of French Polynesia, larger than the living blue lorikeet (V. peruviana). Its extinction followed Polynesian settlement and likely resulted from hunting and introduced rat predation.
Diet & Feeding
Vini sinotoi was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
