†Anser pressus was an extinct goose from Pliocene deposits of the United States. A compact waterfowl herbivore related to modern grey geese, its fossils document early radiation of North American Anser species during the Pliocene. Its remains contribute to understanding how North American goose diversity evolved over the past several million years.
