† Emeus — a genus of extinct moa (ratite) from New Zealand. Medium-sized flightless herbivore characterized by robust hindlimbs and absence of wings. Browsed on low vegetation in forested and shrubland habitats of South Island. Hunted to extinction by Māori settlers around 1400–1450 CE.

Carnivore

Emeus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
