Flightless or flight-reduced insular coot; island gigantism typical of Caribbean rail evolution. Herbivore of Caribbean freshwater habitats. Became extinct following European colonization of Barbados in the 17th century.
Diet & Feeding
Fulica podagrica was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
