<dinofyi-dinosaur slug="micrathene"></dinofyi-dinosaur>Micrathene é um gênero de corujas minúsculas contendo a Coruja-elfo (Micrathene whitneyi), a coruja mais leve do mundo com ~40g e 12-14cm. Encontrada no sudoeste dos EUA e México, nidifica em cactos e cavidades de árvores. Espécies fósseis estendem o gênero ao Pleistoceno.
Dieta e Alimentação
Micrathene era um predador carnívoro. Os dinossauros carnívoros eram caçadores ativos ou carniceiros, equipados com dentes e garras afiados para capturar e consumir presas. Eles ocupavam o topo da cadeia alimentar em seus ecossistemas.
