Coelurosaurichnus palissyi

Coelurosaurichnus palissyi

A Middle Triassic ichnospecies from France, Coelurosaurichnus palissyi is named in honour of Bernard Palissy, the Renaissance French scientist. These tridactyl theropod-grade trackways from French Triassic strata document early bipedal archosaur locomotion in the Tethyan realm and are among the earliest potential theropod traces from western Europe.
