Pachyplichas yaldwyni was the second species of this extinct New Zealand wren. Like other New Zealand wrens, these tiny insectivores evolved in a mammal-free environment, developing weak flight and ground-foraging habits that made them vulnerable to introduced mammalian predators.
Diet & Feeding
Mesembriornis milneedwardsi was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
