† Phoenicopterus croizeti was an extinct flamingo relative (Phoenicopteriformes) from France. A filter-feeding wading bird, it inhabited Cenozoic lacustrine and coastal wetlands. Its fossils document the early diversification of flamingo-related lineages across multiple continents.
Diet & Feeding
Phoenicopterus croizeti was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
