Tonniornis mesetaensis is an extinct shorebird from Eocene deposits of Seymour Island, Antarctica, contributing to the fossil bird record of the Antarctic Peninsula. This early Paleogene bird inhabited coastal environments during a warmer period in Antarctic history.
Diet & Feeding
Tonniornis mesetaensis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
