Tonniornis minimum

Tonniornis minimum is a second extinct Eocene shorebird from Antarctica, smaller than T. mesetaensis. Both species from the La Meseta Formation of Seymour Island document the diversity of Paleogene birds inhabiting the ancient Antarctic coast.

Carnivore

Tonniornis minimum was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
