An extinct small crow, Corvus pumilis ('little crow') is an omnivorous corvid known from fossil deposits of indeterminate locality. Its reduced body size relative to other crow species may reflect island dwarfism or ecological specialisation. This species adds to the documented diversity of fossil Corvus and contributes to understanding body size evolution within the crow lineage.
Diet & Feeding
Corvus pumilis had a varied diet that included both plants and animals. Omnivorous dinosaurs were versatile feeders, able to exploit multiple food sources, which gave them an advantage in changing environments.
