† Megalosauridae is the family containing Megalosaurus and its closest relatives, medium to large tetanuran theropods of the Middle Jurassic. Megalosauridae is the type family of Megalosauroidea; members reached ~7-9m and occupied apex predator roles in Jurassic ecosystems.
