<dinofyi-dinosaur slug="cereopsis"></dinofyi-dinosaur>Cereopsis is a genus of large, mostly terrestrial goose (Anatidae) native to coastal islands of southern Australia. Standing up to 75 cm tall and weighing around 6 kg, it grazes on grasses and herbaceous plants. Its distinctive cere, a waxy yellow membrane at the bill base, gives the genus its name. Fossil representatives are known from Australian Pleistocene deposits.
