†Devincenzia pozzi is an extinct phorusrhacid bird from Argentina, one of the iconic terror bird lineages of Cenozoic South America. This large flightless carnivore occupied the apex predator niche alongside large native ungulates. Its massive beak and powerful legs were adaptations for hunting on open pampas and savanna environments.
