<dinofyi-dinosaur slug="kumimanu-biceae"></dinofyi-dinosaur>Lanius excubitor is the Great Grey Shrike, a widespread predatory songbird across Eurasia and North Africa. At ~25cm, it perches prominently to hunt rodents, birds, and lizards, impaling surplus prey on thorns or barbed wire as a larder.
Diet & Feeding
Kumimanu biceae was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
