† Megapnosaurus rhodesiensis was a small coelophysoid theropod (~3m) from the Early Jurassic Coelophysis-bearing beds of Zimbabwe and South Africa. Its assignment to a distinct genus from Coelophysis reflects ongoing debate about coelophysoid taxonomy and Pangaean faunal connections.
