An extinct fringillid bird from Spain, Chloris triasi is a fossil greenfinch-related taxon recovered from Iberian paleontological sites. Its discovery alongside Chloris aurelioi hints at species-level diversification of finch-like birds on the Iberian Peninsula during the late Cenozoic, before modern greenfinch populations became established.
