Bartramia umatilla

Bartramia umatilla is an extinct upland sandpiper from Miocene or Pleistocene deposits of the Pacific Northwest of the United States. This carnivorous shorebird is related to the extant upland sandpiper (Bartramia longicauda) and represents an early member of the lineage in North America. Its fossils help establish the temporal and geographic range of this charadriiform group.
