Bathornis celeripes is an extinct cariamiform or phorusrhacid bird from Eocene–Oligocene deposits of Nebraska and surrounding states in the United States. This small carnivorous cursorial bird, with celeripes meaning 'swift-footed,' was adapted for active pursuit predation on open grassland and savanna environments of Paleogene North America.
