Branta propinqua

Branta propinqua is an extinct goose from Pleistocene deposits of the United States. This herbivorous waterfowl, closely related to extant Branta species based on skeletal morphology, inhabited wetlands and grasslands of Quaternary North America. Its fossils contribute to understanding the Pleistocene paleoecology of North American waterfowl communities.
