<dinofyi-dinosaur slug="diomedeoididae"></dinofyi-dinosaur>†Diomedeoididae is an extinct family of tube-nosed seabirds (Procellariiformes) from the Paleogene of Europe, containing Diomedeoides and related genera. These carnivorous pelagic birds may be stem albatrosses or stem procellariids, and their German Oligocene fossils represent some of the oldest well-preserved Procellariiformes. They illuminate the early evolution of oceanic soaring birds.
Diet & Feeding
Diomedeoididae was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
