† Eocypselus vincenti — an Eocene swift relative from Denmark. Small aerial insectivore. European record complements North American occurrences of this early swift lineage. The Fur Formation preserves multiple Eocene avian taxa demonstrating high early Cenozoic avian diversity.
Diet & Feeding
Eocypselus vincenti was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
