Messelasturidae is an extinct family of falconiform-like birds from the Eocene of Europe. Known primarily from the Messel lagerstätte, these early Paleogene birds occupied raptor niches and may be related to the ancestral lineage of modern falcons.
Diet & Feeding
Leptoptilos robustus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
