<dinofyi-dinosaur slug="accipiter-efficax"></dinofyi-dinosaur>Accipiter efficax is an extinct hawk from the Pleistocene of Australia. A medium-sized accipitrid raptor, it was related to modern goshawks and sparrowhawks. Known from fragmentary fossil material recovered from cave deposits, it was likely a woodland predator hunting small birds and mammals. It went extinct with other Australian Pleistocene megafauna.
Diet & Feeding
Accipiter efficax was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
