<dinofyi-dinosaur slug="dicraeosauridae"></dinofyi-dinosaur>†Dicraeosauridae는 후기 쥐라기에서 전기 백악기까지 남아메리카와 아프리카에 분포했던 멸종된 diplodocoid 용각류 공룡 과입니다. 전형적인 용각류보다 목이 짧고 등뼈에 이랑 모양의 돌기가 발달했습니다. 대표 속으로는 디크라에오사우루스와 아마르가사우루스가 있습니다.
식성 및 먹이 섭취
Dicraeosauridae는 초식 공룡이었습니다. 초식 공룡은 일반적으로 고사리, 소철, 침엽수 등 그 시대에 존재하던 식물을 먹었습니다. 많은 초식 공룡이 질긴 식물을 처리하기 위해 특화된 치아와 소화 시스템을 발달시켰습니다.

Dicraeosauridae는 약 161.5~145.0백만 년 전 Mesozoic대 Jurassic Late기에 살았습니다.
공룡의 가장 상징적인 시기 중 하나입니다. 브라키오사우루스, 디플로도쿠스 같은 거대 용각류가 알로사우루스 같은 포식자와 함께 살았습니다. 가장 오래된 새로 알려진 아르카이옵테릭스가 등장했습니다. 모리슨층이 이 시기의 탁월한 화석 기록을 보존하고 있습니다.
