Haplocanthosaurus delfsi는 초식 공룡이었습니다. 초식 공룡은 일반적으로 고사리, 소철, 침엽수 등 그 시대에 존재하던 식물을 먹었습니다. 많은 초식 공룡이 질긴 식물을 처리하기 위해 특화된 치아와 소화 시스템을 발달시켰습니다.
