<dinofyi-dinosaur slug="iguanacolossus-fortis"></dinofyi-dinosaur>† Iguanacolossus fortis — 유타주 시더마운틴층에서 발견된 백악기 초기 이구아노돈류 조각류이다. 대형의 튼튼한 초식 공룡(~9 m, ~3,000 kg)으로 '강인한 이구아나 거인'이라는 뜻이다. 사지 뼈를 포함한 상당한 두개골 이후 골격 자료로 알려져 있으며, 다양한 옐로캣층 동물상에 기여한다.
식성 및 먹이 섭취
Iguanacolossus fortis는 초식 공룡이었습니다. 초식 공룡은 일반적으로 고사리, 소철, 침엽수 등 그 시대에 존재하던 식물을 먹었습니다. 많은 초식 공룡이 질긴 식물을 처리하기 위해 특화된 치아와 소화 시스템을 발달시켰습니다.
