The species name references its resemblance to aramus-like (limpkin-allied) forms. Known from fragmentary material at Bumban locality deposits, it was a carnivorous bird likely inhabiting riparian or wetland environments of Paleogene Central Asia, contributing to early Cenozoic avian diversity in the region.
Diet & Feeding
Bumbanipes aramoides was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
